CSS offers insurance solutions that pay contributions to naturopathic products and therapies.

Since 2017, few benefits in complementary medicine have been included in the basic insurance plan – however, the deductible rate must always be included in the basic insurance plan and treatments are only covered under certain circumstances – supplementary insurance is worthwhile in most cases.

These benefits are paid for by basic insurance:
• anthroposophical medicine
• Homeopathy
• Neural therapy
• Phytotherapy
• traditional Chinese medicine

However, treatment must be carried out by doctors with a specialist title and complementary medical training, and before benefits are taken over, the deductible rate and excess are deducted – in many situations these benefits are not achieved at all.

For psychotherapy there is a small contribution already from the basic insurance, but it is sometimes advantageous if you also have supplementary insurance for this, since the basic insurance only insurecertains certain therapists.
